I wanted to capture the musical overtones of a singing heart, rejoicing
in the beauty and re-birth of these zebras. On the left of this painting
is a mother zebra. The baby covers the rest of the painting.
The stripes dominate everything in this painting and are evidence
of that which lasts, grows and renews itself all the time. ”
