Rhino - wildlife painting

“The Rhino, one of the princes of the African bush is an animal in the mists of incredible sadness due
to the slaughter of this pre-historic animal by those attaching special sexual powers to the Rhino horn.
These huge and majestic animals are the victims of ruthless poachers with no regard for beauty.
I painted this picture of the Rhino with awe for these creatures, but with sadness too in thinking of what
so regularly happens to these animals. My heart is present in these brush strokes while I hope
and pray that the senseless killing will stop some day. I hope that one day, when all of us connect to
the heart of the all surrounding Embracing Mystery, the Rhino too shall be safe in a world that then
shall be wholesome in its Oneness. If this painting can somehow contribute a little to look upon this
wonder of Creation in awe, then I would have achieved more than I ever could have dreamt as a painter....”
